With 90.0 million users in 2023, AR is roughly on par with smart wearables (89.6 million users) and smartphone health and fitness apps (88.9 million). Smart speakers are just a bit ahead, with 105.5 million users. Expanding web AR may bring AR to new sites. The vast majority of current AR users use it primarily via apps.

Humane's wearable pin is here, but can it replace the smartphone? Computing company Humane has officially and efficiently, both, they've launched its Ai Pin, an OpenAI-powered wearable. This was noted by a lot of people, but David Pierce of The verge. The device, developed by a couple who were former Apple employees, is a $700 two-inch square, and it's about 40 grams.
