However, streaming still outpaced the live TV viewership rate (79.0%). One of the largest YoY increases was in music/audio streaming adoption. Usage grew by 2.5 percentage points YoY to reach 65.1% of respondents.

That’s up from 92.8% five years ago. Time spent with digital media in the Philippines was among the highest in the region. Daily mobile device usage averaged 5:26.

The US and Canada, a now very mature market, added nearly three million subscribers in Q4, same number as they got during the tailwinds from the pandemic in Q2 2020 and overall a good year. If you don't look at Q4 but zoom out and look at the full year, they added 30 million new subscribers in 2023 versus less than 10 million additions the year before that.

I also think it's interesting that these numbers line up with so much of our data, including some of our most recent forecasts on things like time spent with connected TV, on cord cutters, on the crossing lines between the digital video and the traditional TV audience, meaning that video is surpassing traditional TV in terms of time spent.
