Social media, which is a more likely source of disinformation than traditional media, was the primary source of information for 56% of younger respondents ages 18 to 29, according to Abacus. Digital time spent will outpace traditional media by a factor of almost 2-to-1. Digital will account for 63.0% of total media time spent this year. It first surpassed traditional media in 2017.

But data reveals a country that still values traditional media, as TV holds a 29.4% stake, and radio and newspapers remain in play.
