We're seeing them break more into streaming and their content is showing up on streaming services. YouTube is obviously a big part of that as well, with CTV being such a growing and popular element of its own growth. Daily time spent with music streaming in Mexico (2:18) led globally, surpassing regional and global averages. Mexico City was Spotify’s first Latin American market, and the company deemed it the “world’s music streaming mecca” in 2018. Mexico also led in another form of digital audio: podcasts. Daily time spent with the medium was 1:12, ahead of the regional average by 7 minutes.

Zooming out: AI audiobooks are available on other popular streaming platforms. Audible has over 40,000 AI-narrated titles, per Bloomberg, and Apple Books added AI-narrated options in 2023. Spotify said its goal is to boost the number of audiobook authors on its platform and make audiobook narration more cost-effective. AI everywhere: Spotify is incorporating AI throughout its offering.
