According to a proposal to regulators, the social media giant wants to charge Europeans for monthly subscriptions if they don't agree to let the company use their digital activity to target ads. So basically, Meta considering offering an ad-free version of Instagram or Facebook for $14 a month just in Europe because the laws are stricter there and they're trying to get around that.

You could even argue that if an advertiser is targeting something at myself, and my wife is watching with me, we're different genders, but we're in the same demographic. At this point, we've actually started to look like each other, so that's how long we've been together. We have similar tastes, we share a budget.

Baby boomers, so 59% of them, 24 percentage points more likely than the younger folks, the Gen Zers, to believe the US should have already begun regulating AI developments and use. From a very, very, just a core point of view, from a very practical point of view, I think that the demographic who is able to afford a high-end Mercedes like this and one that has an interest in using TikTok while driving the car, I think that's a very, very small section of a Venn diagram. To all the other safety reasons and other stuff aside, I think that at its core, it's very odd to me.
