US sports betting is on the rise, with total sports betting handle projected to increase by 35.0% to $184.45 billion this year, according to our March 2023 forecast. Sports betting site FanDuel had a Super Bowl ad for the (sports) books last year, featuring a live field goal kick from former NFL player Rob Gronkowski. FanDuel will be back in 2024’s game, featuring Gronkowski making another attempt.

Well, Disney has been looking to get into sports betting for a while. There are reports last fall that they were negotiating with DraftKings or FanDuel to see if there was potential for a deal there. Instead, they have decided to spin out their own competing business. And I think it really has potential to be a dominant player in sports betting.

I put that at a three. In the US, I put it at a zero, or if we had negative numbers on the scale, I'd go negative.
