I don't know how sustainable that is, especially as LinkedIn continues to grow, but at least for now it feels like a more welcoming alternative to some of the other platforms that have more negative experiences for people. Marcus Johnson (07:50):. Yeah, it's a great point.

Speaking of spending less, I think that's a really interesting thing, especially as we're squarely in the holiday season, thinking about fast fashion companies like SheIn or really ultra low price companies like Temu, a lot of Gen Zs will flock to those companies even though they acknowledge that maybe they're not super sustainable or they don't have the best business practices.

It's going to be a little bit better for the environment and we know that you care about that. So, that's another thing that they're trying. And I think ultimately I would say it's not even necessarily their dedication to customer experience, it's more so their desire to optimize the experience and find ways where they can cut back that are not going to impact the customer experience all that much.

So let me give a little bit of context for this first.

Shein is expected to IPO at some point, but it's faced bad press for labor practices, sustainability concerns, and design copy accusations. Now it's trying to win the general public over by investing in independent designers. Sky, your review of this story in 60 seconds is... Sky Canaves:.

Clothing brands have been investing in resale and eCommerce, which is a sustainability as well, but that's also down to the fact that people are just having to cut their non-essential spending. So it's definitely something we are seeing and I think it's something we're going to see more across the year even if we do dodge a recession. Sara Lebow:. Gotcha.

Health research, treating diseases which are currently incurable, coming up with better material science from possibly more environmentally friendly products, for example. And so those things are really exciting. I think on the other hand, I think the lack of regulation around this technology is a concern when you look at how fast it's accelerating.

But I think it's a little bit tone deaf because of sustainability. So yeah, they went from a gazillion to three, but I think they probably, if they had just done one, they would still have that same sort of impact of the nostalgia without wasting so much paper. Marcus Johnson:. By a bazillion, Suzy means 13. They've gone from 13-. Suzy Davidkhanian:. I couldn't remember. Marcus Johnson:.

And I just wonder if this is something that's bubbling under the surface because I mentioned this because I'm writing about sustainability and advertising at the moment, and as generative video comes to the fore, I can just see emissions going through the roof and I just wonder if this is a problem that we'll have to get to grips with across, I mean not just in creative building, but across creative full

If it all looks and feels like that, then it potentially complicates or makes the creative less tailored to the environments offered by RMNs. And also too, it just exposes you to being lumped in with so many other different kinds of supply that it naturally drives down your CPMs. So they want it to be standard but not too standard. So, people, pet parents are going towards these smaller, more niche sort of whether it's sustainable, no grains, I mean, there's all these attributes that they're looking for. And so, that's probably where these companies do better than an Amazon. But all of that still does probably a little bit better than in store in terms of it's so much easier online to look for specific attributes.
