Most creators worldwide are under 41, but there are now creators of all ages, including Gen Xers and baby boomers, per Adobe. Lifestyle, fashion, and beauty are still the top creator categories. But these are broad sectors that overlap with many other industries, including travel, health, entertainment, food/drink, and art. B2B and sports are two fast-growing areas for creators.

So say the average adult American now spends less than three hours per day, 2:55 is our figure to Gen X or to the baby boomer generation. That sounds like an incredibly small number compared to what we used to hear about. Oh, people spend X so many hours per day watching TV rotting their brains. So that's a very small number compared to TV's prime.

This year, Gen Z will overtake Gen X as the second-biggest cohort of social network users, with only millennials accounting for more, though that gap is closing fast. Population dynamics will account for most of this change. There are more Gen Z internet users than ever before, so it stands to reason this will bolster social user numbers in the demographic.

Gen X was a little under 29% of the population using BNPL in 2023, but that's going to shoot up to over 40% in 2027 and Baby Boomers is going to see a smaller, but still a large jump going from 13% in 2023 to almost 18% in 2027.
