It's so important to getting the best output, and I think the best way to think about chatbots like ChatGPT is as assistants or brainstorming partners. They're not professionals that can do your job for you. And I think we are seeing a lot of inappropriate use cases that do make them seem useless, like the lawyer that just used ChatGPT in a court filing and ChatGPT ended up citing six fake cases.

I mean, we're seeing the social platforms already start to incorporate generative AI chatbots like Snapchat has. Meta is leaning more into the content creation side of things. And there's got to be somebody out there. They're building a generative AI platform.

So they'll be able to monetize their AI chatbot interactions. But I think another key thing that lot of people are not paying attention to is that Microsoft is adding ads in a number of different surfaces that they hadn't previously. In terms of the Microsoft Store, for instance, where people can download Windows Apps, they're actually monetizing that at a greater rate than ever before.

And also a chatbot called LLaMA, I think. God knows why. Debbie, let's end the lead by talking about the mini future, AKA Q2. Dan Gallagher of The Wall Street Journal wrote that such a performance, a Q1 performance, that Meta just posted, raises the question of what the company can do for an encore.

Well, and that's something that we talked about too when Bing brought its chatbot, its generative AI kind of product to market, was even if it could just grab 1% of market share from Google, in terms of dollars, that would be a big deal for Microsoft. And I don't think that's materialized yet. It might not ever.

They surveyed 520 US college students and they found that 40% of them had never heard of chatbot from OpenAI. Of those who had heard of it, 52% have never used it. 52, that's a big number. And the students who said they do use it, they don't use it at all that much. So 55% said they almost never use it.
