People use VR for all types of things, from exercise to shopping to travel planning. But for most users, VR headsets are primarily gaming platforms—and advertising remains challenging. Over 90% of VR headset users put them on to play games. No other activity exceeded 30%, according to a July 2022 study by Arris Composites.

I think that Starbucks is trying to capitalize on the travel craze in China. The partnership will help, but I think Starbucks, its revenue is going to continue to grow, but I believe the market share will continue to slide by virtue of just being there a lot more competition right now, naming a few domestic players like Luckin Coffee and Cotti Coffee, and then also the smaller chain.

A pandemic bump to TV time prevented this landmark from happening earlier. Traditional media consumption saw an uplift in 2020 during the harshest pandemic restrictions.
