So China. China is home to be fastest train in the world. It's called the Shanghai maglev, which can clock nearly 300 miles per hour or 500 kilometers per hour. Kayla Zhu of Visual Capitalist notes it uses electromagnets to float above the tracks, which eliminates resistance, reduces maintenance costs, and allows for higher top speeds.
