At the same time, parent Bytedance’s slowing ecommerce growth in China is fueling the search for new markets: TikTok is recruiting merchants in Spain and Ireland ahead of a broader push into Europe. More than a quarter (26%) of consumers in Europe have bought consumer electronics abroad, per DHL—rising to 38% of shoppers in Spain. China’s ecommerce giants continue expanding in Europe. AliExpress is now a major ecommerce player in France, Italy, and Spain.

Globally, 2 in 3 B2B digital ad spending dollars are concentrated in the US and China (47.4% and 18.2%, respectively).
