When it comes to adoption of the service among digital buyers, the UK will be ahead of France (73.7%), the US (67.9%), Spain (56.3%), Italy (52.7%), and Germany (36.7%) this year. Adoption is slowing as the market reaches saturation. Growth in the number of click-and-collect buyers will slow to 2.0% this year, down from 6.7% in 2019, our forecast shows.

That means the UK is on par with mobile-first markets like South Korea and Indonesia—and significantly ahead of the US (6.7%) and its Western European neighbors such as Spain (4.4%), France (4.1%), Germany (3.9%), and Italy (2.4%). So sort of around the 40% of internet user mark we have a number of countries; US, Australia, Canada, Spain. Then we have a big middle tier around the 30% mark of internet users. That's UK, Brazil, Germany, Mexico, Italy, France and Argentina. And then at the bottom we have this lower tier where far fewer internet users, around 14% or less.
