I mean, I feel a little odd comparing it so much to Netflix and Disney because those are video streaming and not audio streaming. But I do think it is a good point of comparison that in the first quarter for Netflix and Disney's ad supported tiers, we really didn't see a lot of subscriptions jump down to the cheaper price.

The three major regions of North America, Latin America, and Western Europe will have a total of 389.8 million podcast listeners in 2023. By 2027, that figure will have surged to 473.0 million.

Ads will appear alongside livestreams on the user’s video player and will mute livestream audio while the ad plays. The audio will resume after the ad break or if users skip the ad. The ads will be made available to all eligible livestreams broadcast in normal latency. Creators will need to enable the ads through the “Let YouTube Decide” mid-roll setting.

For age, household income, and household location, the usual large divides weren’t as pronounced for streaming, which is evidence of widespread usage. While audio consumption in Canada shifted to streaming in terms of time spent, adoption rates for radio and music streaming were neck and neck. Some 72.1% of respondents listened to radio compared with 72.0% who listened to digital audio.
